YSTRADGYNLAIS 15 POINTS, TAIBACH 14 POINTS.

DIV. 2 WEST CENTRAL.

Despite heavy rain and high winds, both Ystradgynlais and Taibach were prepared to run the ball  throughout the game, and Ystradgynlais just managed to win by a single point at 15-14. Liam Harris kicked an early penalty for the home side and increased the lead on ten minutes when Curtis Davies crossed for a try converted by Harris for a 10-nil lead. Taibach bounced back with a try by flanker Rory Thompson and Aaron Jones converting for 10-7. In the final minutes of the half, Curtis Davies crossed for his second try for Ystradgynlais for a halftime lead of 15-7.​​​​                                     

  The Taibach forwards were once again prominent in the scrums and mauls during the game and after taking play to the Ystrad twenty two, Taibach were awarded a penalty and Richard Olsen took the penalty quickly to sprint past several defenders to score a try. Aaron Jones converted for a score of 15-14 to the home side. The Taibach pressure continued, but unfortunately there was no further score giving Ystradgynlais the one point victory.​​​
