History will be made this Saturday when the newly formed Upper Swansea Valley Youth take the field for the very first time. The merger between Abercraf and Ystradgynlais has certainly been a positive one over the summer.
The opposition on this momentous day will be Abertillery Youth. They are a club with a tremendous amount of history themselves and who senior side have survived via their own merger with Blaenau Gwent.
The game will kick off at 2.30pm this Saturday (27/08/16) at Ystradgynlais RFC. I look forward to not only the merger of Aber and Ystrad players but that of both clubs passionate supporters chanting ‘USV, USV, USV’.
Remember boys and girls we are together, stronger!
