Saturdays game began with a minute silence in memory of Anthony Ajax Thomas. The back row player had represented Ystradgynlais during the 90s. His father and uncles also represented the club and our thoughts and sympathy go out to his friends and family. A great player but an even better man.
The Blues recorded their second win in as many weeks against a very good Nantymoel side. It was a match that could have gone either way with both sides sqandering point scoring opportunities.
The Ystradgynlais tries came from Sam Davies and Daniel Morgan. Centre Davies also kicked a penalty and conversion.
The Blues travel to Cwgors next Saturday for what promises to be a very difficult encounter.
